JOB SUMMARY:

Control4 is looking for a highly motivated and results driven person to join our sales team. The Builder Channel Manager will assist the Director of Sales programs in managing Control4's builder channel initiative. This person will help identify and engage with key national and regional builders in the United States. The manager will conduct builder program presentations, product presentations, attend HBA events, and attend builder shows. The manager will work in unison with our regional sales directors and area sales managers in an effort to maintain and secure builder partners. This may also include visits to Control4 dealers, Control4 certified showrooms, and influence product decisions made on the builder's behalf. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position requires you to enhance the relationships with builders, dealers, sales directors, and area sales managers
  • Work on program support documentation and reporting
  • Identify key builders and establish and maintain company relationships with those builders
  • Setup and attend scheduled appointments with targeted builders
  • Prepare for and present the Control4 builder program to the key influencers within the builder's organization
  • Attend and participate in local Home Builder Associations and national builder shows/meetings
  • Work with Control4 regional sales directors, area sales managers, and Control4 dealers to facilitate their business relationship and drive sales through the builder channel
  • Quickly gain market insight to the needs of builders and act as the liaison between builders, Control4 dealers, and Control4 corporate stakeholders
  • Help develop marketing tools to maintain and secure builder channel partners
  • Participate in ongoing reporting and display of your ability to respond to the customer in an efficient and effective manner
  • Assist in the continual development of Control4's builder program through field feedback and key insight from the field
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead to builder program implementation
  • Manage the relationships with current builder partners and continually enhance our sell-through within our builder partner communities
  • Work closely with the builders, Control4 dealers, Sales Directors, and Area Sales managers to proactively identify situations that require the rapid intervention and allocation of resources to maintain performance within managed accounts
  • Assist in the internal alignment of Control4 builder program
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Sales programs & Management

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred
  • Must have minimum 7 years of sales experience working in or related to the builder channel
  • Ability to influence others and foster strong relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and sales skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to function effectively without daily interaction with management
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, organizational, and analytical/ problem-solving skills
  • Experience logging sales activity in a CRM, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50%
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Prior experience selling technology based products within the builder channel is preferred
