Come code in swift and java to help expand a proprietary automated testing framework and help with general quality assurance testing for Control4. You'll be embedded with our Draper, UT based Software Development/QA Engineering team that builds and verifies the functionality of both new and existing software. You'll have the opportunity to work on two to three products simultaneously which means everyday will be different with new challenges for you to solve.


Control4 is a market leading smart home automation company.  Your team works with dozens of different third party products to ensure a seamless integration with Control4's platform.  One day you could be working with security controllers and the next you could work with software that controls various audio/video products.

  • Assist in developing and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases for mobile applications.
  • Interface with engineers to identify and prioritize areas for significant efficiency and confidence gains through test automation.  Will participate in the automated test effort.
  • Analyzes, tracks, and reports on product issues and maintains documentation on project issues and defect metrics.
  • Perform acceptance, regression and validation testing.
  • Identify, log, and track defects.
  • Collaborates within SQA team and across product development on process improvement initiatives.


  • 3+ years of overall software quality assurance with exposure to the full product development cycle, from requirements through post-release.  
  • Experience/exposure to Agile/SCRUM.
  • Experience in testing mobile device applications.
  • Experience testing with hardware is a plus.
  • Strong team player with a "can do" attitude.  
  • Routinely demonstrates flexibility and is a very capable multi-tasker.  
  • Possesses solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience participating in software development / testing process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting ability.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
