Then we want you!  We are looking for an experienced, determined QA professional that loves to sink their teeth into a challenge and refuses to let go until they find the answer.  You'll work on emerging home networking technology AND help trouble shoot challenging end user issues for existing products that other departments haven't been able to resolve/replicate.  Are you up for the challenge?

  • Test Control4 hardware and software to verify it's functionality against predetermined specifications and report defects.
  • Develop test plans/procedures, and test cases for functional testing of Control4 components and systems.
  • Participate in scrum/agile development planning and meetings.
  • Generate test reports/documentation in accordance with Control4 procedure.
  • Report defects and validate fixes.
  • Execute manual and automated regression tests.
  • Occasionally analyze faulty products to determine the root cause of failures.
  • Develop internal tools to help you and your fellow engineers in product development, bug triage, and replication.
  • Write new and extend existing test automation software
  • Test automation experience


  • Experience creating test plans/procedures, and test cases.
  • Experience working in Quality Assurance testing and debugging software and/or hardware products.
  • Experience with command line Linux, Python programming and Bash scripting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Networking gear installation/configuration experience a plus.
  • Audio/Video gear installation/configuration experience a plus.
  • Testing of batteries and battery charging technology a plus.
  • Experience testing on iOS and Android platforms a
  • Prior experience with TestRail and/or Bugzilla a plus.
  • Prior experience with Rally or other scrum software a plus.
  • 4GHz and 5 GHz Wireless Networking design
  • CCNA, MCSE, Network+, Security+ certification
  • Knowledge of network analyzing and troubleshooting, such as packet sniffing and tools like WiSpys, wireshark.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Linux OS and Linux command line.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
  • Experience working in Quality Assurance.
  • Basic understanding of software product life cycles and software development processes.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong knowledge of wired and wireless networking, including Access Points, Managed Switches, and Enterprise-Grade Routers
