Salesforce is one of the most broad-reaching applications at Control4 and is integral to our daily business metrics and decisions.  As such, it is an essential tool that needs a talented and dedicated developer to create new functionality that can be used throughout the organization.  This person will work with stakeholders throughout the business to identify new features that can be used both internally and potentially externally with our dealer base.  The Salesforce developer will also look for ways to optimize new and existing processes and functionality in a scalable, robust, and simple way.  The Salesforce Developer will work closely with our enterprise data architects to ensure Salesforce data is accurate and optimized for use.

  • Develop or integrate new features and functionality that will optimize business processes, application integration, and improve the capabilities of Salesforce.
  • Architect the application to work across all user groups and roles in a unified and optimized way.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop custom applications within Salesforce.
  • Provide a catalyst for business activity and decisions by creating visually appealing and concise dashboards and reports as well as integrate with other visualization and reporting tools.
  • Support an environment with 100+ sales, marketing, tech support, and fulfillment team members.
  • Work closely with 3rd party contractors to oversee project development and implementation within Salesforce to ensure a unified experience.
  • Scale the application to support a growing dealer and customer base with the potential to create a community-based application for 5000+ dealers and 200,000+ customers.
  • Cross-train with developers of other critical applications such as ERP, Tableau, and SQL Server.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of development.
  • Must have historical and proven knowledge and practical application of Visualforce, APEX programming, con APIs, and Web Services.
  • Understanding of key business processes in the areas of sales and customer management.
  • Close attention to detail and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
