As Senior Director IT one of your key responsibilities will be developing and implementing the strategy and direction for Control4. You will communicate the vision, goals priorities, and status of the IT organization to the Senior Leadership Team. You and your team will lead development and execution of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.

In this role, you will partner with Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing and Product Development leaders to align technology solutions to business initiatives. You will define and maintain the vision and roadmap the deliverables you define in collaboration with business partners to maximize the value of corporate solutions.

You need to be an excellent, inspiring leader. As a technical manager, you will have the ability to ensure your technical teams are aligned to business objectives. You will remove roadblocks for the IT team. As a technical leader, you will establish a compelling future state vision of what IT needs to become to help Control4 grow and scale, then lead the team towards that state.



  • IT Strategic Planning define the long-range direction of IT planning and development. Recommends and plans information technology to support and meet company objectives based on research and evaluation.
  • Manage network, security, server, database, service desk, and project management teams.
  • Architecture and build out of production, disaster recovery and cloud based infrastructure systems for fault tolerance and scalability. 
  • Define and implement metrics, KPI's and vision that help drive the IT team initiatives to ensure reliability and quick response to our ever-changing business.
  • Implement new security and infrastructure monitoring tools for auditing and to provide a high level of security throughout the organization 
  • Support Internal technology platforms and systems (SAP, Salesforce, Exchange, SharePoint, and mix of LAMP stack open source Enterprise technologies)
  • Reconcile, balance, and prioritize divergent demands of multiple parties
  • Lead and collaborate across the organization with peers, the Senior Leadership Team, and members of other departments



  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, datacenter design, ITIL, AWS, networking, virtualization, SAN, security & compliance, SaaS, and datacenter fault tolerance.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a mid-market organization IT
  • Strong track record of leadership, including growing and mentoring leaders, management of high profile efforts, and a proven track record of building up performant, inspired work environments
  • Skill in designing and implementing IT processes; process implementation experience (ITSM through ITIL)
  • Exposure to / experience with managing Cloud services/Enterprise SaaS technology at large scale
  • Depth in typical Enterprise platform technologies: SAP, Salesforce, Exchange, SharePoint.
  • Scaling experience and transformative IT leadership- has led the growth of an organization to a high level of team, systems, and technology maturity
  • Strategic technology thinker who can understand and distill business needs and explain them to the team, while translating technical challenges and opportunities to non-technical people and customer executives
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
  • Can provide technical oversight and guidance to team for projects on a variety of platforms, while remaining focused on overall business requirements
  • Experience with management by objectives and data-driven decision making



  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a mid-market IT organization
  • ITIL V3 Certified, Certified Network Engineer (CNE)
  • B.S. Information Systems or Information Technology, MBA preferred.
